Parents of Children/Youth on the Spectrum

Note: With the holidays approaching, the nights for this group will be as follows for the rest of 2019: November 12th and 26th, and December 10th. The group will resume meeting on January 7th and will meet the first and third Tuesday of every month going forward.

Looking for a place to meet with other parents of young people on the spectrum? This is group will meet the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm. All support groups meet at the Gifted Development Center, 8120 Sheridan Blvd., Bldg. C, Suite 111.

Parents of Twice-Exceptional Children/Youth on the Spectrum

Starting Saturday, September 21st, 10:30am

This support group for parents of 2e kids is aimed at people with children who are identified as intellectually gifted and have ASD, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, dyslexia, or a combination of any of these. This group will meet the first and third Saturday of every month at 6:30pm. All support groups meet at the Gifted Development Center, 8120 Sheridan Blvd., Bldg. C, Suite 111.

Social Skills Group for Adolescents ages 15-20 with ASD

New group starts January 11, 2020

This group will help young people with ASD learn effective ways to interact with others in social situations—including making friends, asking someone on a date (and going on a date), navigating high school or college, going on job interviews, and other socially difficult situations where interaction is a requisite skill.

 

The group will meet for the first meeting on January 11, 2020 at the Gifted Development Center at 8120 Sheridan Blvd., Bldg. C., Suite 111 from 10:30 a.m. until noon. At the first meeting, group will brainstorm activities that they would like to do over the course of the next three months. Once we have ideas in place, group will decide on appropriate dates and times for meetings going forward. Information will be updated
