ASC Slack Community

Join our FREE Slack community space! Come, chat, and meet others to collaborate and engage with our Autism Society of Colorado community. Share resources and information from all around the state of Colorado and help build community that you are able to find connections.

 

You can join via your computer or download the app from iOS or Android stores. It is accessible from your computer or phone. All you need is a personal email address. 

By participating in the Slack community, ASC Rules and Guidelines for Slack will be shared and enforced, or disciplinary action is taken to keep these online community groups in a healthy and understanding environment. Participants are considered to have provided their consent to agree to the Rules and Guidelines of the Autism Society of Colorado.

How to join our different channels:

We have multiple channels for individuals and families on the spectrum. 

Via Desktop:

  1. Click  All channels at the top of your left sidebar. If you don't see this option, click  the 3 dots to find it.

  2. Browse the list of public channels in your workspace, or use the search bar to search by channel name or description.

  3. Select a channel from the list to view it.

  4. Click Join Channel.

Via Phone: 

  1. Tap Search at the bottom of your screen.

  2. Tap Browse channels. 

  3. Search for a channel or select one from the list.

  4. Tap Join Channel.

Channel Names and Description:
 

#asc-news: all news and updates from ASC staff.

#asc-events: all ASC events or community events that is ASC will be hosting/partnering with.

#general-chat: a chat to ask general conversations, introductions, meet others and ask questions or discuss topics regarding autism.

#support-lgbqt: This channel is for facilitators and members of the ASC LGBTQ+ monthly support group and a community space for LGBTQ+ individuals on the spectrum to meet.

#support-neurotypicalpartnersandfriends: This channel is for facilitators and members of the ASC neurotypical partners/spouses and friends support group and a community space for individuals who are neurotypical but involved within the autism community to connect.

#support-parentswithover18: This channel is for facilitators and members of the ASC Caregivers/Parents with over 18 adults on the spectrum and a community space for individuals with adults on the spectrum to connect.

#support-parentsunder18: This channel is for facilitators and members of the ASC Caregivers/Parents with under 18 years old children on the spectrum and a community space for individuals with under 18 years children on the spectrum to connect.

#support-parentswith2e: This channel is for ASC Caregivers/Parents with under 18 year old children who are twice-exceptional (intellectually gifted children who have one or more learning disabilities such as dyslexia, ADHD, or autism spectrum disorder) to connect.
#share-resources: This channel is a place to share resources - books, websites, groups, health providers, etc. that you've found to be helpful within the autism space.

#support-tues-adults This channel is a space for ASC Tuesday adults on the spectrum members and facilitators of the support group and a community space for individuals with autism to connect.

#support-weds-adults: This channel is a space for ASC Wednesday adults on the spectrum members and facilitators of the support group and a community space for individuals with autism to connect.

#support-women-adults: This channel is a space for ASC Women on the spectrum members and facilitators of the support group and a community space for women with autism to connect.

#social-coloradosprings-adults: Communication for participants of the Colorado Springs Autistic Adults Social Meetup to find each other and communicate during the socials.

#social-denver-adults: Communication for participants of the Denver Autistic Adults Social Meetup to find each other and communicate during the socials.

#social-denver-youngadults15-22: Communication for participants and parents of the Denver Autistic Young Adults Social Meetup to find each other and communicate during the socials.

#social-grandjunction-adults: Communication for participants of the Grand Junction Autistic Adults to find each other and communicate during the socials.

#social-northerncolorado-adults: Communication for participants of the Northern Colorado Adults Social Meetup to find each other and communicate during the socials.
