In the 2008 Colorado Legislative Session, ASC is promotiong a bill to create a comprehensive statewide Autism Commission.

If you would like to see Colorado have a commission to develop a plan on how to provide integrated supports and services for people
with autism, it is important that you call and/or email the committee members before the hearing to encourage them to support the bill. 

The House Health and Human Services Committee will be hearing Senate Bill 163 on Monday March 17 at 1:30 p.m.

When speaking to the committee members, it will be important to reference SB08-163 and bill sponsors, Senator Brandon Shaffer and Representative Dianne Primavera.  The bill has bi-partisan support and has 10 co-sponsors in the Senate and 18 in the House.
