At the time of the writing of this reply, all the details of how a customer can access the benefits covered by the autism insurance law had not been worked out (March, 2010). The law will begin to go into effect July 1, 2010 BUT a person may not be eligible to begin drawing upon those autism benefits until their enrollment or renewal of enrollment date after 6/30/2010.

The Autism Society of Colorado is working with autism providers and insurance companies statewide to ensure the smoothest transition and implementation of this law.  We will keep our mailing list updated as new information becomes available.
